About the Show
The 22nd edition of International Exhibition on Industrial Machinery, Equipment, Technology and Products in Ho Chi Minh City – VINAMAC EXPO 2025 held from November 27th – 29th, 2025 in Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center – SECC. VIETNAM ASSOCIATION OF MECHANICAL INDUSTRY – VAMI is supporting the event. VINAMAC EXPO is playing its role as the connection between domestic and foreign companies, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the South-East Asia. It is the best platform to exchange and introduce advanced technologies, equipment and products in: mechanical engineering - automation, rubber - plastic, food processing.
The exhibition will bring opportunities to enterprises in selecting and sourcing high quality products from many developed countries in the world. The exhibition is also an ideal place to promote their products, expand business networks in Vietnam, especially in the southern provinces. The presence of all these sectors also necessitate the need for machines and other engineering products. Therefore, there is significant scope for Indian engineering exporters to expand their presence in the Vietnam market. In this background, Vinamac Vietnam which is a flagship event of EEPC India would provide important opportunities for Indian exporters to showcase their products in the Vietnamese market.

Economic scenario of Vietnam
Vietnam is now regarded as one of the most dynamic emerging countries in the East Asia region. Vietnam is the right example of a development success story. The nation was once one of the poorest in the world. But since the early 1990s, the country has been able to propel itself into a middle-income country. Due to its solid foundation the economy has also remained resilient to different global crises. As per the IMF, Vietnam's economy experienced a robust rebound in 2022 with a growth rate of 8.5%, following subdued performance in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Although growth slowed to 5.1% in 2023 due to global uncertainties. In 2024, Vietnam's economy indicated a strong recovery with 7.1% GDP growth rate. Therefore despite external challenges Vietnam continued in its growth path and offering great opportunities to Indian engineering exporters.
India and Vietnam's Bilateral Trade
Vietnam is an important market for India. Vietnam holds 20th position among major trading partners for India. It has been among India's top 25 export destination for India during the year 2024-25. Between 2020-21 and 2022-23, India's merchandise exports to Vietnam rose from USD 5 billion to USD 5.91 billion, while engineering exports increased from USD 1.80 billion to USD 1.83 billion. Despite some decline in 2023-24, engineering exports recovered in 2024-25 to reach USD 1.44 billion. This indicates that, while trade has seen fluctuations, Vietnam continues to present untapped potential for Indian engineering exporters.
The product profile of Vietnam's Vinamac 2025 consists of products related to Industrial Machineries, Products, Equipment, Processing, Machineries, Equipment, etc. under the engineering industry. In 2024-25, India's total exports of Industrial Machinery, globally, stood at USD 20.3 billion which is 7.5% growth over the last year while during this time, India's export of Industrial Machinery to Vietnam stood at USD 256.4 million from USD 225.2 million in 2023-24, reflecting 13.8% growth. India holds the place among Vietnam's top 10 suppliers for industrial machinery with a share of 2.3% in Vietnam's overall import of industrial machinery.
Opportunity for engineering exports in Vietnam
Vietnam's manufacturing sector including the machinery and equipment subsector has seen impressive growth over the past 10 years, driven by FDI and manufactured exports. Growth has been driven by a supportive policy environment including promotion of FDI and multiple regional and international free trade agreements (FTAs). The openness of Vietnam's economy has resulted in an influx of foreign companies establishing export-oriented operations in the country. The Vietnamese government has actively embraced industrial modernization and has set an ambitious agenda for developing strategic supporting industries. One of the key objectives under this vision is to meet 70% of domestic demand for industrial inputs by 2030. This push towards greater self-reliance is creating strong demand for high-quality machinery and equipment.
With its rapidly advancing industrial base, technological capabilities, and competitive pricing, India is strategically well-positioned to meet Vietnam's growing needs in industrial machinery
In this background, it is an apt time for India to response to the demand of the industrial machinery industry of Vietnam and enhance its share in the Vietnamese market through participation in the Vinamac 2025.
