About the Exhibition

Korea Metal Week is Korea's leading international industrial exhibition, showcasing the latest products and technologies in the metal industry. Since its inception in 1989, the event has been at the forefront of innovation in manufacturing, highlighting advancements in metal materials, components, equipment, and advanced technologies. As a foundational sector for various industries, the metal industry plays a pivotal role in shaping the future.

In particular, the integration of advanced technologies such as AI and factory automation has been driving rapid transformations in the field. In 2025, the exhibition will expand its scope to include hardware, eco-friendly materials, smart manufacturing technologies, paving the way to explore and lead the future fo the metal industry.

EEPC India is contemplating to showcase the Indian Fasteners, Tubes & Pipes, Metal Surfacing, Pumps, Laser & Welding, Automation, Forging, Foundry & Die Casting, 3D Technology Industry prowess in a befitting manner at the Korea Metal Week 2025 during 29 – 31 October 2025 at Kintex, South Korea.

India-Korea Trade

• The bilateral trade between India and Korea was US$ 26.89 billion during FY25.
• The Republic of Korea is India's 13th largest FDI investor from April 2000-March 2025, standing at US$ 6.69 billion. Metallurgy, automobile, electronics, prime movers, machine tools, hospitals, and diagnostic centres are the top sectors which have attracted investment.
• As India's economic ties continue to grow with South Korea, the bilateral trade is likely to reach US$ 50 billion by 2030.

Major exports from India to Korea

• India's exports to Korea stood at US$ 5.82 billion during FY25.
• India exported ~3,200 commodities to Korea in FY25.
• Major exported items from India to Korea include Engineering Goods (US$ 2.6 billion), petroleum products (US$ 964 million), Organic and Inorganic Chemicals (US$ 730 million), Others (US$ 205 million), Drugs and Pharmaceuticals (US$ 187 million) etc. in FY25.
• Major exported items from India to Korea include nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical (US$ 898.14 million), mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation (US$ 975.56 million), Organic and Inorganic Chemicals (US$ 673.90 million), aluminium and articles thereof (US$ 585.67 million), iron and steel (US$ 393.09 million), etc. in FY25.

Major imports by India from Korea

• Imports from Korea to India stood at US$ 21.07 billion during FY25.
• India imported ~3,100 commodities from Korea in FY25.
• India's imports from Korea include Electrical products (US$ 5.15 billion), Petroleum products (US$ 2.36 billion), iron and steel (US$ 2.59 billion), Plastic and plastic articles (US$ 2.29 billion) and nuclear products and machinery (US$ 2.31 billion), etc.in FY25.

The emerging strategic alignment between India and Korea is creating a new convergence of capabilities and closer synergy in new areas of economic cooperation such as public health, green growth, digital connectivity, and trade, among others. In this background, it is an apt time for India to response to the demand of the industrial goods and machinery industry of South Korea and enhance its share in the South Korean market through participation in the Korea Metal Week 2025.
