While Economic growth in 2023 is expected to remain subdued due to the overall decline in global demand. However the non-oil sector as mentioned above is ready to grow further due to sustained growth in various sectors including construction. Growth will be further strengthened by the implementation of government’s reform agenda and CBUAE’s efforts to promote stability, efficiency, and resilience of the financial system.
India & UAE: Bilateral Trade

Bilateral trade reached US$ 77.63 billion in 2022-23 from around 60 billion in 2018-19, however mainly due to rise in imports, especially that of oil. The India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is estimated to take bilateral trade between India and the UAE to US$100 billion by 2030.

Development of a world class healthcare system is of critical importance and is one of the six pillars of the UAE’s national agenda. As the country faces growing urban and working population, the healthcare sector also need to evolve rapidly to cater to the ever changing needs of the nation. The country also aims to become the medical tourism hub of the Middle East and also aims to reduce the number of patients that travel abroad for critical treatment. Procurement of world class medical devices is an important part of the country’s plan to develop its medical infrastructure. Given India’s growing medical devices industry, UAE can be a very important destination for Indian exporters. The focus product of the event is medical equipment.
